UKG in Pune, India, seeks a Senior Software Engineering Manager to provide technical direction for mission-critical software initiatives aligned to business goals and platform standards.
You will lead architecture reviews, guide teams in building scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems, and mentor engineers while partnering with Product, Architecture, Security, and other Engineering teams to deliver on commitments.

Delivery & Execution Own execution of projects end‑to‑end, including planning, estimation, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, and other Engineering teams to deliver on commitments.
Ensure predictable delivery while balancing technical excellence and business timelines.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Significant industry experience in software engineering, with prior experience leading or mentoring engineers.
Strong expertise in modern software engineering stacks (for this role: Java‑based platforms; other UKG teams may use C#, .NET, cloud‑native stacks, etc.).
Experience with system design, APIs, distributed systems, scalability, and reliability concerns.
Ability to remain hands‑on and technically credible with the team.
Proven ability to lead teams through complex technical problems and high‑visibility initiatives.
Experience working with globally distributed teams and multiple stakeholders.
Experience working on platform, identity, security, or highly available SaaS systems.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models at scale.
Prior experience aligning engineering execution with product strategy in an enterprise SaaS environment.
