Job summary

Cummins Inc. in India seeks an experienced IT professional to develop, test, and maintain software programs according to technical specs. You will apply secure coding and UI standards while addressing issues by diagnosing and correcting logic and coding errors.

You will participate in integration, performance testing, and build automation, support global Connected Factories deployments, and help ensure data integrity and performance across industrial IT applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/IT/Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Connected Factories and digital manufacturing is expected.
• Knowledge of IT networks and SCADA/PLC dashboards is a plus.

Job Summary

Responsible for developing software programs per technical specifications following programming standards and procedures, performing testing, executing program modifications, and responding to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding.

Key Responsibilities

Applies secure coding and UI standards and best practices to develop, enhance, and maintain IT applications and programs. Assists with efforts to configures, analyzes, designs, develops, and maintains program code and applications. Performs unit testing and secure code testing, and issues resolution. Follow the process for source code management. Participate in integration, systems, and performance testing and tuning of code. Participates in peer secure code reviews. Harvest opportunities for re-usability of code, configurations, procedures, and techniques.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

To provide Digital Manufacturing and Industrial engineering services using Connected Factories applications across global locations.

• Support the resolution and closure of Connected Factories Answer tickets in a timely manner.


• Collaborate with global manufacturing sites to validate tags, data quality, and data integrity.


• Coordinate and support deployment of Connected Factories applications across global locations.


• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to global sites during and after deployment.


• Support system configuration, testing, and validation activities as required.


• Monitor application performance and address operational issues reported by users.


• Ensure adherence to Connected Factories deployment standards, processes, and best practices.


• Engage with cross-functional and global stakeholders to facilitate successful implementation and adoption.


• Track, document, and communicate deployment progress, issues, and resolutions.


• Provide user guidance, training, and knowledge-sharing to site teams where required.


• Maintain documentation related to deployments, support activities, and issue resolutions.
