Job summary

Qualifications

Job Description MS SQL Server DBA (610 Years)

Looking for an experienced MS SQL Server DBA with 610 years of hands‑on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability support for enterprise applications. The role involves managing SQL Server environments across development, test, and production, ensuring database performance, availability, security, and operational stability.

Required Skills and Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across environments
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, restore, and disaster recovery
• Monitor database health and proactively address performance bottlenecks, blocking/deadlocks troubleshooting, and space issues
• Tune queries, indexes, stored procedures, and execution plans for optimal performance
• Support HA/DR configurations such as Always On, clustering, log shipping, and replication
• Implement database security, user access control, T‑SQL scripting, SQL Agent jobs and maintenance automation
• Work with application, infrastructure, and support teams for incident resolution, deployments, and release support
• Strong production support and incident troubleshooting experience
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures for database environments

Good-to-Have (Exposure to Manufacturing / GE Proficy Plant Applications)

• Experience in manufacturing / industrial / plant‑floor environments
• Exposure to MES / MOM systems and manufacturing data flows
• Familiarity with integrations between MES, ERP, historians, SCADA, or reporting systems
