Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Bengaluru seeks an IT Expert experienced in MES with special emphasis on Siemens OpsCenter to manage service requests and issue resolution for running OP center systems. You will interact with customers and stakeholders, handle early/late shifts (no night shift) and on-call support weekend or night as needed.

You will execute lifecycle activities such as patching, and assist in project activities, change management and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years experience in operational services, ideally for MES OP Center.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, ITIL, change management and vulnerability management.
• Good technical understanding of platforms, integration and configurations.
• Experience with OS and network components and ISA95 OT architecture.

IT Expert experienced in MES with special emphasis on Siemens OpsCenter

Responsibilities

• Take care of service requests and issue resolution for various running OP center systems
• Interact with customers and stakeholders on issue resolution
• Shiftwork required: early shift and late shift will be required, no night shift.
• On call service required from time to time over weekend and/or night
• Execute life cycle management activities such as patching according to vulnerability management plan
• Support project activities according to capabilities, such as installations, configurations, peripheral device integration etc. Depending on experience, full integration in technical project team is possible
• Initiate and follow up processes such as change management, update relevant documentation and systems

Profile

• IT, engineering or natural science background
• 3-10 years experience in operational services, in best case for MES OP Center
• Familiar as a user with ServiceNow, ITIL processes, change management processes, vulnerability management processes
• Good technical understanding of the platform, administrative functions and configuration parameters
• Good technical understanding of integration of the platform to other higher or lower level components such as SAP, Kepware, OPC UA, weighing systems…
• Good technical understanding of operating systems and network components
• Good understanding of ISA95 OT architecture
• Very good communication skills, experienced in handling conflicts with difficult customers, cross cultural competence and clear English language
• Quality oriented mind-set with proven practice of documentation and testing
