Job summary

Micron Technology in India (Sanand, Gujarat) seeks an experienced MES Manager to lead end-to-end delivery, operations, and transformation of Manufacturing Execution Systems across the fab.

You will own MES deployments, production support, and drive digital manufacturing initiatives aligned with Industry 4.0, with responsibility for architecture, integrations (ERP/SAP, data platforms), and KPI improvements such as cycle time and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent) required.
• 10–15 years of experience in MES or related domain.
• Proven experience delivering at least one full MES implementation lifecycle.
• Experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead MES deployments (new fab, expansions, upgrades) with planning, resourcing, risk management, UAT, and production cutover.
• Design scalable and maintainable software architecture.
• Translate complex system requirements into effective software solutions.
• Own go-live readiness, roadmap, and enhancements including MES integrations (Equipment, SAP, Data platforms).
• Drive standardization across sites with change management and version control.
• Own MES production support (24x7) and lead RCA to improve stability with AI help.
• Lead downtime events and factory escalations to minimize business impact.
• Build and lead MES team and strengthen SME capability.
• Improve KPIs like cycle time, throughput, and equipment utilization.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and vendors; provide leadership updates on performance and risks.
• Define MES architecture, standards, and scalability across sites.
• Manage vendors, budgets, and drive digital transformation initiatives (automation, IoT, analytics).

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic MES Manager to lead end-to-end delivery, operations, and transformation of Manufacturing Execution Systems. The role is responsible for MES deployment, production support, team leadership, and driving digital manufacturing initiatives aligned with business goals and Industry 4.0 roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MES deployments (New fab, expansions, upgrades) including planning, resourcing, risk management, UAT, and production cutover while ensuring compliance with manufacturing and quality standards
• Experience in designing scalable and maintainable software architecture
• Ability to analyze complex system requirements and translate them into effective software solutions
• Own go-live readiness, roadmap, and continuous enhancements including system integrations (Equipment, SPC, SAP, Data platforms) aligned with manufacturing and Industry 4.0 strategy
• Drive standardization across sites, ensuring effective change management and version control
• Own MES production support (including 24x7 operations), enforce incident/problem management, and lead RCA to improve system stability with the help of artificial intelligence.
• Lead critical downtime events and factory escalations to minimize business impact
• Build and lead MES team, strengthening SME capability and ensuring strong execution
• Drive improvements in manufacturing KPIs such as cycle time, throughput, and equipment utilization
• Collaborate with business, IT, and vendors; provide regular leadership updates on performance and risks
• Define MES architecture, standards, and scalability across sites
• Manage vendors, budgets, and drive digital transformation initiatives (automation, IoT, analytics)

Key Skills & Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in MES technologies and manufacturing systems
• Programming knowledge: C#, Python, SQL, Web technologies
• Understanding of system integrations (Equipment, ERP/SAP, SPC, Data platforms)
• Exposure to IoT, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent)
• 10–15 years of experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems or related domain
