Job summary

Vlink is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on a contractual basis. You will design and build scalable web applications using ReactJS on the frontend and NodeJS/ExpressJS on the backend, with MongoDB for data modelling.

You will also leverage AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity, improve code quality, testing, and documentation, while collaborating across product, design, QA, and engineering teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in JavaScript and modern frameworks.

• Experience building REST APIs and integrating third-party services.

They should also be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using ReactJS and NodeJS.


• Build robust APIs and backend services using ExpressJS.


• Work with MongoDB for schema design, queries, optimization, and data modelling.


• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver features within agreed timelines.


• Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and test generation.


• Stay aware of tools such as Cursor, ChatGPT, code review assistants, and automation/test harnesses.


• Review code, guide junior developers where needed, and follow engineering best practices.


• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
