GCP Cloud Solution Architect

This opportunity is within dentsu’s integrated global capability that delivers world-class, agile services across the dentsu network – Dentsu Creative, Dentsu Media and Merkle. In this role, you will be part of Merkle, enabling delivery of innovative data and technology solutions for Merkle’s global brands.

The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for enterprise-level clients using GCP. The role involves understanding clients’ business requirements and translating them into technical solutions that meet their needs.

The GCP Cloud Solution Architect should have a strong understanding of cloud architecture, including compute, networking, storage, security, and automation. They should also have a deep understanding of GCP services, such as App Engine, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Pub/Sub.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading technical discussions with clients to understand their business requirements and recommend appropriate cloud-based solutions.
• Creating technical specifications and architecture documents for GCP-based solutions.
• Designing and implementing cloud solutions using GCP services.
• Advising clients on best practices for cloud architecture, security, and governance.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, engineering, and support, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud technologies and GCP services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using GCP.
• Experience in architecting and designing solutions in one or more of the following areas: Infrastructure Modernization, Data Management and Analytics, Application Modernization, or DevOps.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, including compute, networking, storage, security, and automation.
• Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools, such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• GCP Certifications, such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, are preferred but not required.
