Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Hyderabad invites an Engineer - Execution - Site (Mechanical) to oversee on-site mechanical works, including piping, equipment erection, HVAC, fire-fighting and utilities. You will ensure the work is executed on time, safely, and to quality standards, coordinating with procurement and design teams.

The role requires reading drawings, supervising subcontractors, maintaining daily progress records, coordinating material delivery, and supporting commissioning and handover

Qualifications

• Experience executing mechanical works at site.
• Ability to supervise subcontractors and site teams.
• Knowledge of QA/QC guidelines and safety standards.
• Capable of coordinating with procurement and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute site-level mechanical works including erection of equipment and pipelines.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure progress as per schedule.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and layouts.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections and installation verification per QA/QC.
• Ensure availability of resources for uninterrupted execution.
• Maintain daily progress reports and material tracking.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery and with design teams for clarifications.
• Monitor contractor performance and flag deviations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in safety audits.
• Support commissioning activities and assist in handover punch points.

Role Overview

The Engineer - Execution - Site (Mechanical) is responsible for executing mechanical works at the site, including piping, equipment erection, HVAC, fire-fighting, and utility systems. The role ensures timely execution, quality control, adherence to safety standards, and coordination with other departments and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute site-level mechanical works including erection of equipment, pipelines, ducting, fire-fighting systems, etc.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure work progress as per schedule and standards.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and layout plans.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections, testing, and installation verification as per QA/QC guidelines.
• Ensure availability of required resources (materials, tools, manpower, equipment) for uninterrupted execution.
• Maintain site documentation such as daily progress reports, inspection logs, and material tracking.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely material delivery and with design teams for technical clarifications.
• Monitor contractor performance and raise flags on deviations or non-conformities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in safety audits and tool-box talks.
• Support commissioning activities and assist in resolving punch points during handover.
