Overview
We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.
The FlashBlade Team
The FlashBlade team builds the industry’s most innovative, high‑performance, and highly available portfolio of products that are designed for the most demanding mission critical applications. We deliver a hardware storage array, but over 90% of our engineering staff are software engineers. We focus on simplicity of management, continuous upgrades, and high availability. FlashBlade enables our customers to leverage the public cloud for traditional IT and cloud‑native applications.
THE ROLE
You’ll architect, implement, and optimize core services that span on‑premises arrays and cloud deployments—delivering seamless storage experiences to enterprises worldwide. If you thrive on solving hard problems, influencing technical direction, and driving innovation end‑to‑end, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the full software development life cycle, from initial architecture and invention through development, release, and ongoing maintenance.
- Drive the technical strategy by influencing system design, architecture, and best practices, especially contributing to the evolution of the FlashBlade Networking product area.
- Invent and optimize algorithms to orchestrate multi‑array and multi‑cloud storage systems, focusing on industry‑leading resiliency and performance.
- Collaborate with world‑class engineers across global sites (Silicon Valley, Prague, and Bengaluru) to deliver impactful, customer‑focused features.
- Own features from concept to production, ensuring observability and efficiency, while mentoring engineers and championing a culture of code quality.
What You Bring
- 18+ years of experience developing high‑performance networking products and a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Significant domain knowledge of the networking stack, with hands‑on experience in systems development including IPv4/IPv6, API design, distributed systems, or device drivers.
- Hands‑on experience with the Broadcom SDK, familiarity with modern switch silicon features (like ECMP, QoS), and direct experience with Linux Kernel or device driver development.
- Strong problem‑solving, debugging, algorithmic, and coding skills, driven by curiosity to design, implement, and rigorously test product components.
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, accountability, and a collaborative spirit in a globally distributed team.
