ThoughtSpot, based in India, is looking for a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable systems that handle large data volumes with high performance.

You will build production-grade software using Java, Go, Python, or C++, contribute to core platform components, improve scalability, and participate in code reviews in a fast-paced, agile environment. A CS degree and strong fundamentals are essential; prior work in distributed systems or cloud tech is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering.
• Strong CS fundamentals and OOP knowledge.
• Proficiency in Java/C++/Go/Python.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that process large volumes of data with high performance and reliability.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, and Software Engineering.
• Good understanding of core Computer Science fundamentals, including Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Databases, and Distributed Systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Go, or Python.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a passion for building scalable software.
• Curiosity to learn, ownership, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Internship, academic projects, or hands-on experience in backend systems, distributed systems, cloud technologies, or AI/ML is a plus.
