Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures are functioning properly.
• Receives complaints from the complaints division of IT and attends to them as early as possible.
• Identifies and rectifies problems and trains users on avoiding issues in the future.
• Plans for more efficient systems and upgrades software for better performance of databases.
• Installs new or rebuilds existing servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Installs and configures all systems in the Hospital systems.
• Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures.
• Contributes to and maintains system standards.
• Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Performs regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
• Performs daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
• Investigates and troubleshoots issues.
• Repairs and recovers from hardware or software failures.

Job Type: Full-time
