Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Medical Oncologist to diagnose and manage patients with various types of cancers. The candidate will be responsible for developing individualized treatment plans and providing comprehensive cancer care in coordination with a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with various types of malignancies.
• Review clinical history, pathology reports, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's condition and treatment protocols.
• Administer and supervise systemic cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and targeted therapy, as per qualification and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patients during treatment and manage treatment-related complications and adverse effects.
• Provide follow-up care and assess treatment response.
• Manage oncology-related emergencies and complications.
• Coordinate with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical discussions when required.Participate in emergency/on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• MBBS + MD/DNB in General Medicine/Paediatrics with DM/DNB in Medical Oncology, or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid medical registration.
• Relevant experience in Medical Oncology preferred.
• Strong clinical and patient-management skills.
