Job description

The Medical Oncology professional will be responsible for cancer patient evaluation, chemotherapy planning, immunotherapy support, treatment monitoring, oncology documentation, and multidisciplinary cancer care across Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, or Hyderabad locations. This requires MBBS, MD Medicine/Pediatrics, and DM Medical Oncology qualification with 1–5 years of experience.

  • Evaluate oncology patients in OPD, IPD, day care, and emergency settings.
  • Plan chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive treatment protocols.
  • Review biopsy, histopathology, staging reports, tumor markers, imaging, and lab findings.
  • Monitor treatment response, toxicity, side effects, and supportive care requirements.
  • Coordinate with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, ICU, and nursing teams.
  • Maintain chemotherapy records, consent forms, prescriptions, and clinical documentation.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, risks, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary planning.
  • Manage oncology emergencies such as neutropenic fever, tumor lysis, and severe toxicity.
  • Follow chemotherapy safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
  • Support palliative care and survivorship planning when required.
  • Ensure compassionate and evidence-based cancer care.
