Qualifications

• Editing pharmaceutical marketing or healthcare communications experience.

• Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Nightly Editor to join our editorial team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of deliverables before submission. The ideal candidate is a meticulous copyeditor with a strong command of grammar and style, exceptional fact-checking skills, and experience reviewing pharmaceutical marketing materials in a fast-paced agency environment.

This position requires availability Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET, with occasional flexibility to accommodate changing business needs and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Copyedit marketing materials to ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax
• Maintain consistency in formatting, messaging, and editorial standards across all brand materials
• Review projects for adherence to client-specific editorial standards and established style guides
• Fact-check claims, references, citations, and supporting content to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate closely with copywriters, account teams, project managers, and fellow editors to meet deadlines
• Monitor project timelines and editorial review cycles, proactively identifying potential issues and communicating solutions
• Assess project priorities and deadlines to determine the appropriate prioritization of multiple projects
• Provide support during periods of increased workload

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Experience editing pharmaceutical marketing or healthcare communications
• Expert knowledge of the AMA Manual of Style and its application
• Exceptional grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills
• Strong fact-checking and analytical abilities
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Willingness to work 2:00 PM–10:00 PM ET, with flexibility as business needs require

Preferred

• Experience using Ziflow or other online proofing and review platforms
• Agency experience supporting pharmaceutical or healthcare clients
• Launch experience
• Familiarity with FDA promotional regulations and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes
