Job summary

Nym is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coding Auditor to review outpatient charts, assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer guidelines. You will audit documentation coded by autonomous coding teams and provide actionable insights.

The role requires 3+ years in outpatient coding/auditing, professional certifications such as RHIA/RHIT/CPC, and strong analytical skills. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Nym and client sites, staying updated on coding

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outpatient coding and/or auditing experience.
• Certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CPC, COC, CASCC, or similar.
• Experience with surgical and emergency department coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit medical charts coded by autonomous coding teams against guidelines and SOPs.
• Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports on audit findings and provide actionable insights to reduce errors.

In this role, youll audit documentation for compliance with reputed company regulations and payer guidelines, helping to reputed company the highest standards of accuracy and reputed company.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Auditing Review and audit medical charts that have been coded by an autonomous coding reputed company against national coding guidelines and reputed company-specific SOPs, using Nyms proprietary coding and auditing software to ensure correct coding practices and compliance with industry standards. Identify areas for improvement and reputed company recommendations for correction.
• Medical Coding Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and other relevant codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services provided, ensuring correct coding practices and compliance with industry standards.
• Compliance Ensure reputed company coding and documentation practices reputed company with reputed company, regulatory, and ethical guidelines, including HIPAA, Medicare, and reputed company requirements.
• Reporting reputed company and present reports on audit findings, coding discrepancies, and overall compliance trends. reputed company actionable insights to improve processes and reduce coding errors.
• Collaboration Work closely with reputed company stakeholders and internal Nym teams to serve as the subject matter expert and to reputed company alignment between Nym product and reputed company requirements. Participate in customer calls, helping to ensure customers understand the nuances of autonomous coding capabilities.
• Continuing Education Stay updated with the latest changes in coding systems, regulations, and industry standards to ensure reputed company compliance and best practices. Assist reputed company in monitoring reputed company industry trends for potential impacts on the configuration of the Nym coding reputed company.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of outpatient coding and/or auditing experience.
• A minimum of one of the following certifications is required and must be maintained Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company) , Certified Coding Specialist-Physician (reputed company-P), Certified Outpatient reputed company (COC), Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center reputed company (CASCC), or Certified reputed company reputed company (CPC).
• Experience with Surgical Specialty Organizations (ex. AAOS, ACG, ACOG, etc.) references are a plus but not required.
• Experience with ACEP (reputed company College of Emergency Physicians) and Emergency Department Facility and reputed company Fee coding is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate reputed company information effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in reputed company aspects of the job.

• Living/working in the Eastern Time Zone is strongly preferred.
