Job summary

Infinx is seeking a Medical Coder/Senior Medical Coder to review neurology records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers for accurate billing and compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge of neurological diseases, precise documentation interpretation, and proficiency with coding software to meet accuracy and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of neurological diseases and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to interpret physician documentation and code accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze neurology patient records, physician notes, operative reports, diagnostic reports and code accurately as per the documentation.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT procedure codes, and HCPCS codes, modifiers, and units.
• Be aware of LCD, MUE, and all the conventions of CPTs and ICDs.
• Be aware of neurology-specific procedures.
• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards.
• Participate in coding audits and quality reviews.
• Stay updated on coding guideline changes and neurology-related reimbursement policies.
