The Media Executive will be responsible for managing and enhancing the institution’s media presence across print, digital, and broadcast platforms. The role involves content creation, media coordination, branding initiatives, and ensuring consistent communication aligned with the institution’s vision and values.
Media Relations & Public Communication
- Develop and maintain relationships with media houses, journalists, and external communication agencies.
- Draft press releases, media notes, newsletters, and official statements.
- Coordinate press conferences, media briefings, and institutional events.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare media tracking reports.
- Manage the institution’s website and social media platforms.
- Create engaging content (articles, posts, videos, graphics) aligned with branding guidelines.
- Plan and execute digital campaigns for admissions, events, and institutional achievements.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
Branding & Promotion
- Support institutional branding initiatives.
- Ensure proper use of logos, templates, and visual identity guidelines.
- Coordinate promotional materials such as brochures, banners, reports, and advertisements.
Event Media Coverage
- Provide media coverage for academic events, conferences, seminars, and student activities.
- Coordinate photography, videography, and post‑event publicity.
- Prepare event summaries and publish them on appropriate platforms.
Internal Communication
- Assist in drafting internal announcements and communication to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments for content development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in media management, corporate communication, or institutional branding.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and basic design software.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Photography and video editing skills.
- Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the education sector.
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing databases, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns.
- Experience in optimising landing pages and user funnels.
- Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, SEMRush, etc.).
- Working knowledge of ad‑serving tools.
- Experience in setting up and optimising PPC campaigns on all major search engines.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
