Job summary

Operational Energy Group (OEG) is seeking a hands-on Supervisor/Operator to oversee daily mechanical maintenance and plant operations at our Gujarat site. You will monitor turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliaries, coordinating with DCS operators to ensure safe, efficient performance.

The role requires strong leadership, shift work readiness, and a solid grasp of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in power plant / energy sector operations.
• Exposure to Gas Turbine / Boiler / WHRS systems preferred.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and plant processes.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and breakdowns independently.
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance (ISO / EHS practices).
• Experience in shutdown/overhaul activities is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and team handling skills (for supervisor role).
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical maintenance and operational activities at the plant site.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment such as turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliaries.
• Monitor performance parameters and identify deviations for corrective action.
• Lead troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for mechanical and turbine-related issues.
• Coordinate with DCS/control room operators for smooth plant operations.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
• Handle breakdown maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance logs, reports, and checklists.
• Supervise and guide technicians, operators, and contract workforce.
• Ensure proper usage and availability of tools, spares, and consumables.
• Participate in shutdown planning and execution activities.
• Monitor fuel systems, steam parameters, and turbine efficiency (for operator role).
• Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S implementation in the work area.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Instrumentation, Operations).
