Responsibilities

• Lead MPF design and installation activities for Data Center/Mixed Use Developments projects.
• Review and validate MPF designs, drawings and specs for client requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure integration of MPF systems.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and progress.
• Prepare technical documentation including specs, RFIs and change orders.
• Develop and manage project schedules for MPF works and monitor budgets.

JOB DESCRIPTION - PROJECT LEAD (Mechanical) - Data Center/Mixed Use Developments

Position Summary

As a Project Lead - Mechanical at JLL, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) aspects of Data Center/Mixed Use Developments Project. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with project management skills to ensure successful delivery of MPF services within scope, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MPF design and installation activities for Data Center/Mixed Use Developments projects
• Review and validate MPF designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless integration of MPF systems
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality and progress
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, RFIs, and change orders
• Develop and manage project schedules for MPF works
• Perform cost analysis and budget management for MPF components
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Participate in client meetings to discuss technical requirements and provide expert advice
• Manage commissioning and testing of MEP systems
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in MPF engineering with specific focus on Data Center/Mixed Use Developments
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection in commercial environments
• Knowledge of building automation systems and energy-efficient design practices
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards
• Proven track record of successful MEP project delivery
• Experience with MEP coordination tools and BIM software

Required Skills

• Technical expertise in MPF systems for Data Center/Mixed Use Developments
• Project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting MEP systems
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy-efficient design

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering license or certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with sustainable building practices and certification processes (LEED, WELL, etc.)
• Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
• Experience with construction management software

Working Conditions

• Occasionally required to work outside normal business hours to accommodate project schedules
