Job summary

Leadec is seeking a maintenance technician in Gujarat, India to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot essential utility equipment within a plant. The role requires reading technical drawings, performing preventive and breakdown maintenance, and assembling mechanical components on site.

The candidate should be comfortable with basic hydraulics and pneumatics, follow strict safety procedures, and participate in rotational shifts while coordinating with electrical and safety colleagues to keep plant

Qualifications

• Experience in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specs.
• Proficiency with mechanical tools and basic hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and coordinate with electrical/safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot utility equipment (compressors, chillers, boilers, pumps, piping).
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance; fit and assemble components.
• Identify faults and rectify issues to ensure smooth plant utilities operation.
• Adhere to safety practices while working on site.
• Coordinate with electrical and safety teams for smooth plant operations.

Job description

• The candidate will be responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility equipment such as compressors, chillers, boilers, pumps, and piping systems.
• Key duties include preventive and breakdown maintenance, fitting and assembly of mechanical components, identifying and rectifying faults in utility machinery, and ensuring smooth functioning of plant utilities.
• The candidate should have working knowledge of mechanical tools, fitting techniques, and basic hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and follow standard safety practices while working on site..
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts is required.
• Good coordination with cross-functional teams (electrical, safety) is essential.
