Qualifications

• Good understanding of core Mechanical Engineering subjects.
• Exposure to thermal and structural analysis concepts.
• Experience with FE methods or a basic grasp of CAD-driven analysis.

Responsabilités

• Support mechanical design and analysis of spacecraft structures and payloads.
• Perform basic structural calculations for stress, deflection, loads, and factors of safety.
• Support finite-element modelling and structural simulations.
• Assist with thermal analysis of spacecraft components and assemblies.
• Understand conduction, radiation, thermal expansion and temperature gradients.
• Assist with thermo-structural and thermo-elastic analysis.
• Assist with structural dynamics activities such as modal analysis, natural frequency estimation, vibration analysis and launch load assessment.
• Work with materials like aluminium, titanium, CFRP, and honeycomb sandwich structures.
• Prepare simple engineering reports and documentation.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern with strong engineering fundamentals and an interest in spacecraft design and analysis.

The intern will support mechanical engineering activities related to structures, thermal engineering, and structural dynamics for spacecraft and payload systems.

The role is suitable for someone who understands the basics well, can perform engineering calculations, and is willing to learn simulation tools and spacecraft-specific design practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and analysis of spacecraft structures and payloads.
  
• Perform basic structural calculations for:
