Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Mechanical Engineer PHE to manage global projects, coordinating water, drainage, and sanitary systems with M&E, structural, and architectural teams. You will lead design calculations and ensure BIM-enabled delivery across multiple building types.

Ideal candidates will have 9+ years of Public Health Engineering experience, strong AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks skills, and the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff in a globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Mechanical/Civil-Environment/Public Health Eng.
• 9+ years of experience in Public Health Engineering/Plumbing design.
• Experience in residential, commercial, highrise buildings, hotels, airports, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of PH services (water, sanitary drainage, storm water).
• Coordinate with M&E, structure, and architecture teams.
• Produce design calculations and mark-ups for delivery.
• Ensure BIM coordination and clash resolution.
• Guide junior staff and manage project deliverables on time.

Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer PHE to manage projects for global markets.

Bein chargefor planning and design of all building services elements of the PHE(water, drainage/(Sanitary& Rain/Stormwater)andcoordination withother Mechanical & Electrical services (M&E) ,Structureand Architecture.

Beinchargeforconcept designincluding Space proofingbased on evaluationforvarious optionsin coordination with architectural, structural input andin accordance withinitialload/Demand estimates.

Design Calculation knowledge basedonrelevantBSStds& Codes,CIBSEGuide G,IOP,IPC,UPCKnowledgeonMiddleEaststds& local regulations likeDM/ADM& DEWAis added advantage.

Ensure all design work is carried outin accordance withCompany’squality standard procedures.

Ensure checking of all design outputs of PHModellersand seamless coordination between other sections/disciplinesand with BIM team for clash resolution

Ensure the completeness of design deliverables within time limits

Knowledge on Digital Automation of PH is added advantage

Share knowledge and experience to coach and develop juniorstaffs.

Key Capabilities:

Candidate should be B.E./B.Techin Mechanical/Civil - Environment /Public Health Engineering discipline.

Have 9 years plus experience in Public Health Engineering/Plumbing design and knowledge on inter-disciplines and clash resolutions.

Have experience inResidential,Commercial,highrisebuildings,shoppingmalls,hotels,hospitals,Sportsbuildings,Gym ,RecreationalClub,Theme parks,Airport ,Metroprojects,Defencebuildingsetc.,

Have experience in design of internal&external water supply,sewerageand drainage (Storm water/Ran Waterand surface water),

Knowledge on irrigation distribution network is added advantage & not mandatory

Knowledge onrelevantBSStandards&Codesof PHE-Plumbing & Sanitary DrainageCodesmust.

Familiarity with local authority codes and regulations such as of local Municipality, water authority, drainage and sewerage department, environmental authority etc., of countries in which the candidate has job experience.UK/British region(mostly preferred),Ifcandidate hasMiddle East& otherANZ(Australia &Newzealand)regionsexp.as well,also shall be an added advantageand not mandatory.

Good knowledge of relevant international codes and regulations.

Knowledge in sustainable, green building design practices and rating guidelines is added advantage & not mandatory

Handle design independentlywith minimal supervisionand lead a team of technicians/modellers.

Have good oral and written communication skills and liaise with clients directly.

Should be capable ofhandling PH Services -Water, Sanitary & Storm waterdrainage design independently which includes preparation of designcalculations,preparingEngg design mark-ups & execute the project work down the line

Experience in relevant design software such as Auto CAD,REVIT,Navisworksand IT Literacyis mandatory &able towork independently in BIM modelling -Revit is Mandatory.
