Job summary

Pasona is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in India to develop detailed designs for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other systems. You will create and review CAD drawings and ensure compliance with local codes and project standards.

The role involves coordinating with architects and engineers, managing schedules and budgets, supervising subcontractors, overseeing installation, and conducting site inspections to uphold safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Ability to review and create technical drawings, plans and specifications using CAD software.
• Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and regulations in India.

• Develop detailed designs for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other systems as required.

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical designs with overall project plans.
• Plan and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.

• Oversee the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems.
• Perform quality control checks on all mechanical systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical systems during construction and post-construction phases.
• Conduct performance tests and inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain detailed records of designs, installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare and present reports on project status, system performance, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety on-site and conduct regular safety audits.
