ABC Technical Services is seeking a Drafter to perform reverse engineering and product development for mechanical parts. You will create 3D models, BOMs, drawings, and specifications to support manufacturing and lifecycle management.

The role offers a full-time remote arrangement with a brief Jaipur-based probation and a standard 4 PM–1 AM work window, Monday to Friday. Strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and collaboration with Lead Engineers.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in design, drafting, reverse engineering.
• Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and delivering high-quality outputs.
• Ability to create accurate 3D models, drawings, and documentation.
• Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM/PDM systems.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX for 3D modeling and drawings.

Responsabilidades

Role Description

The Drafter is responsible for reverse engineering and product development activities related to mechanical parts and assemblies. The role focuses on developing high-quality engineering deliverables, including 3D models, bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation to support manufacturing and product lifecycle management.

• Full Time Remote Role (1 Month brief probation period to be completed from Jaipur, Rajasthan)
• Work Timings : 4PM to 1AM, Monday to Friday

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models from scanned parts as part of reverse engineering projects.
• Create and maintain detailed components, assembly, and manufacturing models using company engineering standards.
• Generate and update engineering deliverables, including BOMs, drawings, specifications, and supporting technical documentation.
• Develop assemblies and ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturability of designs.
• Analyze existing and analogous designs to support product development, standardization, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Apply sound engineering judgment to dimensions, tolerances, fits, and material selection.
• Consider manufacturing processes and recommend design improvements to enhance quality, cost, and production efficiency.
• Review and incorporate feedback from Lead Engineers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all engineering data is accurately maintained within Teamcenter and related systems.
• Support technical problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comply with company engineering standards, design practices, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in design, drafting, reverse engineering, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering outputs.
• Ability to create accurate 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work directly with engineering teams and stakeholders at Metso.
• Familiarity with castings, forgings, machined components, and welded assemblies.
• Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM/PDM systems.
• Previous experience with mining, heavy equipment, crushers, industrial machinery, or large mechanical assemblies would be preferred but is not mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Siemens NX, particularly 3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
