Job summary

RGBSI in Bengaluru is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on NX/CREO-based design and drafting. You will create CAD assemblies and BOMs for design changes and support engineering changes across sheet metal and machined components.

The ideal candidate has 2–8 years of relevant experience, a BE/B.Tech with 60% or more, and hands-on exposure to PLM/SAP and change management within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech with 60% overall in mechanical engineering or related fields.
• 2–8 years of relevant design & drafting experience.
• Proficient in NX/CREO for 3D CAD and large assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Recommend engineering solutions for simple to medium complex reports.
• Create CAD assemblies and BOMs for design changes.
• Implement engineering changes through Change Orders.
• Collaborate with Product Development Engineers on concepts and enhancements.
• Create and review drawings for sheet metal parts, machined components, welded structures, and assemblies.
• Develop assembly procedures, test procedures, and rework instructions.

Experience: 2 to 8 Years

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering with 60% overall in the academics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recommend engineering solutions for simple to medium-complex problem reports.
• Create CAD assemblies and BOMs for design changes and modifications.
• Implement engineering changes through Change Orders.
• Collaborate with Product Development Engineers on concept designs and design enhancements.
• Create and review drawings for sheet metal parts, machined components, welded structures, and complex assemblies.
• Develop assembly procedures, test procedures, and rework instructions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling and Assembly Management using NX / CREO and handling large assemblies (must)
• Experience in BOM Management using PLM tools.
• Knowledge of Engineering Change Management, SAP, and PLM systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering design methods and processes.
• Exposure to manufacturing process (Sheet Metal and Machining)
• Knowledge of mechanical hardware, fasteners, and OEM component selection.
