Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our design team in Bangalore. The role focuses on NX/CREO CAD modeling, creating assemblies and BOMs, and implementing engineering changes to meet project timelines.

The candidate will collaborate with product development, review drawings for sheet metal, machined parts, welded structures and complex assemblies, and develop assembly and test procedures to drive quality and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile/Industrial Engineering with minimum 60% overall.
• 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and large assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Recommend engineering solutions for simple to medium-complex problem reports.
• Create CAD assemblies and BOMs for design changes and modifications.
• Implement engineering changes through Change Orders.
• Collaborate with Product Development Engineers on concept designs and design enhancements.
• Create and review drawings for sheet metal parts, machined components, welded structures, and complex assemblies.
• Develop assembly procedures, test procedures, and rework instructions.

Experience: 2 to 8 Years

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering with 60% overall in the academics.

Key Responsibilities

• Recommend engineering solutions for simple to medium-complex problem reports.


• Create CAD assemblies and BOMs for design changes and modifications.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong understanding of engineering design methods and processes.


• Exposure to manufacturing process (Sheet Metal and Machining)


• Knowledge of mechanical hardware, fasteners, and OEM component selection.
