Job summary

Xylem sucht am GCC Vadodara Campus einen Mechanical Design Engineer, der maßgeblich zur Entwicklung von Wasseraufbereitungstechnologien beiträgt. Qualifications

• Fundierte Kenntnisse in Creo/Inventor mit parametrischem Modellieren.
• Grundkenntnisse in AutoCAD.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse im mechanischen Systemdesign, Anwendung und Herstellung.

Responsibilities

• Auslegung/Größenbestimmung von Ausrüstung für Auftragsprojekte.
• Erstellung von 2D/3D-CAD-Modellen, Submittal- und Fertigungszeichnungen.
• Unterstützung des Auftragszyklus von Design bis Lieferung.
• Zusammenarbeit mit funktionsübergreifenden Teams zur Projektabstimmung.
• Eigenständige Leitung zugeteilter Aufgaben mit Fokus auf Qualität und Termintreue.

The position involves playing a key role in advancing Xylem water treatment technology capabilities. This position plays a vital role in supporting Xylem’s water treatment projects by providing high-quality mechanical design and engineering deliverables. The role focuses on order engineering activities such as design, submittal preparation, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective execution of customer projects. If you are excited and passionate, we want to hear from you!**Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:*** Execute equipment sizing/selection and detailed design for order engineering projects.* Prepare structural/hydraulic designs, general arrangement and layout* Review contract specifications/plans.* Develop 2D/3D CAD models, submittal and fabrication drawings, and manufacturing deliverables.* Prepare and review engineering submittals for client and internal approvals.* Provide engineering support across the order cycle, from design through fabrication and delivery.* Collaborate closely with cross-functional and regional teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.* Independently manage assigned tasks, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion.**Must Have:*** Strong proficiency in Creo/Inventor with parametric modelling.* Working knowledge of AutoCAD.* Solid understanding of mechanical system design, application, and manufacturing.**Good to Have:*** Knowledge of pump/piping/structural design and GD&T.* Experience with water/wastewater projects and OEM environments.* Familiarity with engineering submittals, fabrication processes, and shop drawings.* Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and regions.**Qualifications:*** 4-Year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.* 3-6 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment engineering.* Exposure to fabrication/manufacturing drawings and submittal processes preferred.* Knowledge of various water treatment technologies and technological advancements.*Xylem offers you an exciting career in an international environment, with a global network of sales companies, suppliers and manufacturers.
