Job summary

Xylem sucht einen FEA-Ingenieur zur Struktur-Analyse von Wasser- und Abwasseranlagen, Stahlstrukturen, Skids, Tanks und Plattformen. Entwicklung von Berechnungen und Simulationen zur Unterstützung von Produktentwicklung und Projektabwicklung in Chennai und Vadodara.

Sie arbeiten eng mit globalen Teams, führen statische, seismische und windbasierte Berechnungen durch, erstellen Berichte und unterstützen Verifikationen.

Qualifications

• 4–6 Jahre praktische Erfahrung in Strukturanalyse, Simulation und Design.
• Erfahrung mit Stahlstrukturen, Ankern, Tanks, Skids und industriellen Bauwerken bevorzugt.
• Kenntnisse in LRFD/ASD-Methoden, ASCE 7, Wind- und Erdbebennormen.

Responsibilities

• Durchführung von Strukturanalysen und Bewertungen von Wasser- und Abwasseranlagen, Stahlkonstruktionen, Skids, Tanks, Plattformen und Stützen.
• Entwicklung von Berechnungen, FEA-Simulationsmodellen, Berichten und Designs.
• Statische, seismische, windbedingte und Verankerungsbewertungen durchführen.
• Unterstützung bei Designverifikation, Fehleranalyse und Optimierung.
• Zusammenarbeit mit globalen Teams und Stakeholdern zur Kommunikation der Ergebnisse.
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Normen, Standards und Qualitätsanforderungen.

B.Tech./B.E. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with relevant structural analysis experience may also be considered.* 4–6 years of hands-on experience in structural analysis, simulation, and design within industrial, water, wastewater, process equipment, or heavy engineering industries.* Experience with steel structures, equipment supports, anchorage systems, tanks, skids, and industrial structures preferred.**Technical Competencies*** Strong understanding of structural analysis principles, load paths, structural behaviour, and engineering fundamentals.* Experience in steel structure design with working knowledge of LRFD and ASD methodologies.* Knowledge of ASCE 7 load criteria, load combinations, wind loading, seismic loading, and structural design provisions.* Experience in anchorage evaluation, connection design, and understanding of structural failure modes and limit states.* Ability to perform engineering hand calculations and develop calculation sheets for member sizing and load assessments.* Ability to interpret, validate simulation results using sound engineering judgement.* Working knowledge of structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, ANSYS Mechanical or equivalent simulation tools.**Behavioural Competencies*** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.* Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.Werden Sie Teil des globalen Xylem-Teams und gestalten Sie innovative Technologielösungen mit, die die Nutzung, Verfügbarkeit, den Schutz und die nachhaltige Verwendung von Wasser sicherstellen.
