Job summary

VVDN Technologies in Manesar (Gurgaon) is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to drive end-to-end product design for rugged outdoor consumer devices, including IoT and security cameras. You will collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, cost-efficient solutions.

The role requires expertise in SolidWorks, knowledge of molding, casting and machining, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to meet tight schedules and certifications.

Qualifications

• Understand the complete mechanical design cycle from concept through manufacturing.
• Agile and rapid prototyping to meet tight program schedules.
• Collaborate with production, manufacturing teams and vendors to deliver designs.
• Work with hardware design team on integrated solutions.
• Experience in Audio-Video / Multimedia Consumer products (IoT, security cameras, rugged devices).
• Knowledge of molding, casting and machining processes.
• Designs for rugged, outdoor, cost-effective, long-life products.
• Experience with plastics and sheet metal parts.
• SolidWorks expertise; graphics design tools and simulation are advantageous.
• Thermal management, RF shielding, EMI/EMC shielding understanding.
• Knowledge of industry standards and product certification.
• Analytical problem-solving and good communication skills.

Primary Skill: Mechanical Design Engineer

Work Location: Manesar (Gurgaon)

Role: Sr. Engineer/ Tech Lead (Mechanical)

Skill Sets Req:

• Understand the complete mechanicaldesign cycle of a product (Concept Generation, Detail Design, Testing, Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of agile and rapid prototyping techniques to meet tight program schedules.
• Willingness to work closely with production manufacturing team and vendors to deliver timely, effective and reliable designs.
• Should be able to work with thehardware design team
• Experience in Audio-Video / Multimedia Consumer products (IoT Devices, Security Cameras, Mobile Phones, Rugged Handheld Devices etc.)
• Good understanding of the molding process, casting process, andmachining process.
• Good understanding of designs for rugged, outdoor, cost-effective, long life products.
• Experience with plastics and sheet metal part design.
• Expert level software knowledge in SolidWorks ispreferred. Software knowledge in graphic design tools and simulation will be an advantage.
• Ability to understand thermal management & analysis, RF shielding, EMI/EMC Shielding
• Good knowledge of industry standards and product certification
