KAWEN MANPOWER is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Bangalore South to design and develop mechanical systems with emphasis on sheet metal. You will create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product development and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and documentation per standards.
• Develop sheet metal designs for manufacturability and performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, hardware, procurement, and project teams.
• Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to improve quality.
• Perform tolerance analysis and ensure engineering standards.

Overview

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a key role in the design and development of specialized mechanical systems and components, with a strong focus on sheet metal design and product development for high-reliability applications. The role involves creating detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and integration. Candidates with experience in Defence, Aviation, Aerospace, Electronics, or related engineering industries are highly preferred due to the nature of the products and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation in accordance with industry standards.
• Develop and optimize sheet metal designs for manufacturability, performance, and
• Work closely with manufacturing, hardware, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth product development and implementation.
• Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve product quality and reliability.
• Perform tolerance analysis and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Candidates with an Aeronautical Engineering background will be highly preferred.
• Experience in Defence, Aviation, Aerospace, Electronics, or related industries will be considered a strong advantage.

Experience

• 1 to 1.5 years of relevant hands‑on experience in mechanical design and product development.

Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Strong experience in Sheet Metal Design (mandatory).
• Experience in creating detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple design

Compensation

• CTC: ₹3,00,000 – ₹3,60,000 per annum (based on experience and expertise).
