Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Maharashtra seeks a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in compressor packages and rotating equipment. You will engage in sizing, selection, and detailed engineering, aligned with API/ISO/ASME standards.

Responsibilities include preparing P&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, and RFQs, as well as vendor evaluation and ERP-based BOM creation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical rotating equipment engineering.
• Knowledge of API standards (API-617, 692, 614) and related codes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Detailed engineering of Compressor packages and its auxiliaries per API, ISO, ASME standards.
• Equipment sizing, selection, and detailed engineering of compressor support systems.
• Preparation of technical documentation such as P&ID, Datasheets, GA Drawings.
• Preparation of RFQ and evaluation of vendor offers for package auxiliaries.
• Creation of part numbers in ERP system and generation of BOM.
• Conduct design reviews and risk identification; provide recommendations.
• Meetings with Customer and Suppliers as needed.

• Detailed engineering of Compressor packages and its auxiliaries in accordance with the international standards like API, ISO, ASME, etc.
• Equipment sizing, selection, and detailed engineering of compressor support systems in accordance with the latest API Standards (main & auxiliary drivers, heat exchangers, seal gas heaters, lube oil pumps, instruments, gages, surge control valves and systems, etc.)
• Preparation of technical documentation such as P&ID, Datasheets, GA Drawings, other customer facing documents, etc.
• Preparation of RFQ and evaluation of vendor offers for compressor package auxiliaries like lube oil systems, dry gas seal systems, pressure vessels, control valves, filters, etc.
• Creation of part numbers in ERP system and generation of Bill of Materials.
• Conduct design reviews, identify risks, and provide recommendations.
• Conduct meetings with Customer and Suppliers as and when needed.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical rotating equipment engineering
• Working knowledge of rotating equipment like compressors, pumps, turbines, etc. and auxiliary support systems like dry gas seal systems, lube oil systems, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, filters, etc.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable industry standards (API-617, 692, 614, AGMA, NACE, etc.)
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and design standards
• Excellent team player.
• Good verbal & written communication skills
