Job summary

Openhouse is hiring enthusiastic teachers to conduct 1:1 maths classes for children at their homes in and around Sarjapur, Bangalore. The program builds strong number sense, problem-solving and logical thinking through activity-based learning, games and hands-on materials.

Roles involve visiting student homes, guiding children through hands-on activities, and tracking progress. The schedule is about 20 hours per week, roughly 3:00–7:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM–5:00 PM on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1:1 maths classes at students' homes using the Openhouse curriculum.
• Guide children through hands-on activities, puzzles, games and practice that build understanding of maths concepts.
• Explain concepts in a simple and engaging manner based on the child's age and learning level.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Openhouse team.
• Conduct trial classes for interested families when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1:1 maths classes at students' homes using the Openhouse curriculum.
• Guide children through hands-on activities, puzzles, games and practice that build understanding of maths concepts.
• Explain concepts in a simple and engaging manner based on the child's age and learning level.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Openhouse team.
• Conduct trial classes for interested families when required.

Time Commitment

• Any 5 days a week, approximately 20 hours per week.
• Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
• Weekends: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Note

• Location: Currently hiring for Sarjapur and nearby areas.
• Classes will be conducted at students' homes.
• Students will be assigned within nearby areas wherever possible to minimise travel.
• Candidates should be comfortable travelling locally.

If you get shortlisted, you will participate in our training program for technical and soft skills. The training period should ideally be 15 days; normal salary will be paid, and no fees are required from the candidate.
