Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a STEM - Maths Expert (Task Based) for a remote, short-term contract. You will develop and apply advanced mathematical models to support AI research, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and review literature and outputs.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in Mathematics (or are PhD students) and have strong background in logic, algebra, analysis, probability, or applied math. Python and data analysis skills are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Candidates with a Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Strong expertise in at least four areas: Computable Functions & Mathematical Logic; Algebra & Number Theory; Linear Algebra & Matrix Theory; Topology & Geometry; Real Analysis; Probability & Statistics; Applied Mathematics.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Research/project experience in advanced mathematical domains.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
• Python and Data Analysis knowledge is desirable but not mandatory.
• LinkedIn profile must be mentioned in the resume.

Type: Short-term Contract

Compensation: $250 per task upon approval

Location: Remote

Commitment: Up to 40 hours/week with 4 hours overlap with PST

Duration: 3 Months

Start Date: Immediate
