Job summary
Alignerr is seeking Mathematics Experts with advanced degrees to help shape AI reasoning. You will develop, solve, and review rigorous mathematical problems across algebra, calculus, statistics, and discrete math for real-world science and engineering applications.
The role is a fully remote, flexible hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week, allowing asynchronous collaboration with AI researchers and domain experts while maintaining precision and mathematical rigor.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- Deep expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics.
- Comfortable with Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research

We're looking for Mathematics experts with Master's or PhD-level credentials to work alongside leading AI research teams, helping build and refine the next generation of AI models. Your expertise will be at the core of making AI smarter, more rigorous, and genuinely capable of advanced mathematical reasoning.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just deep mathematical knowledge and a sharp eye for precision.

- Holds a Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
- Comfortable working with Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or problem-solving
- Exceptionally detail-oriented — you notice when a proof doesn't hold or a solution cuts corners
- Strong written communicator who can explain complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Fluent in English
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Background in mathematical research, academic publishing, or technical writing
- Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts as an end user
- Experience designing or grading advanced problem sets in an academic context
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading AI research labs
