Zynga in Bengaluru, India seeks a Game Mathematician Intern to assist in designing and testing mathematical models for slot games, including pay tables, RTP, and volatility. You will collaborate with game designers, developers and QA to ensure mathematical integrity.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's in Mathematics, Statistics, CS or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, C# or Python.
• Basic understanding of probability, combinatorics, and statistics.
• Interest in casino games and game theory is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and collaborative work style.
• Good communication to present math concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and test mathematical models for new slot games, including pay tables, game mechanics, and bonus features.
• Support RTP calculations, hit frequency, and volatility levels for slot games.
• Run simulations to verify payout distributions and randomness.
• Assist in creating detailed game math specifications, flowcharts, and reports for designs and regulatory submissions.

We are looking for a Game Mathematician Intern to assist our game development team in designing, analysing, and optimizing mathematical models for our slot games. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for mathematics, statistics, and game design to gain hands‑on experience in the casino gaming industry.

What You Will Do

• Design Mathematical Models: Assist in designing and testing the mathematical logic for new slot games, including pay tables, game mechanics, and bonus features.
• RTP (Return to Player) Calculation: Support the calculation and verification of the theoretical RTP, hit frequency, and volatility levels for slot games.
• Simulation and Testing: Run simulations to ensure the mathematical accuracy of game models, including payout distributions and randomness.
• Documentation: Assist in creating detailed game math specifications, flowcharts, and reports for game designs and regulatory submissions. Offer detailed analysis and explanation of mathematical models
• Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure the mathematical integrity of slot games.

What We Require

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in mathematical tools and software such as Excel, C# or Python.
• Basic understanding of probability theory, combinatorics, and statistics.
• Interest in casino games and game theory is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Good communication skills for presenting mathematical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
