- Test and perform mathematical analyses to calculate needed mathematical features of games.
- Write programs or scripts to manipulate, parse or reorganize large data files into standard formats for testing.
- Conduct and interpret statistical testing on game simulation results and on RNG data.
- Read and interpret jurisdictional requirements, consulting appropriately for interpretation.
- Review the work of others and provide constructive feedback.
Reviewing and Documenting
- Read and modify programs and analyses developed by others to meet testing needs.
- Review, understand, and document source code in various languages.
- Write project reports by summarizing testing conducted and results.
- Carefully review analysis work conducted by others for accuracy.
Communicating Externally and Internally
- Work with external clients, communicating professionally on technical topics.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Math Department and other employees.
Experience, Education, Skills And Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
- Associate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or 3+ years of equivalent experience may be considered.
- Certification, formal training, or experience may be evaluated in lieu of educational requirements.
- Knowledge of Probability, Statistics, and Combinatorics.
- Knowledge of a modern, object-oriented programming language such as C++, including object-oriented design concepts.
- Understanding of core programming concepts and techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing to a high degree of English.
- Ability to handle and organize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- High attention to quality, details, and accuracy.
- Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation.
