Job summary

TE Connectivity in Bangalore, India seeks an experienced Production Scheduler to plan and manage manufacturing line workloads. You will drive schedules, release work orders and coordinate with production, logistics and procurement to meet customer delivery targets.

The role requires strong material and production planning expertise, SAP SD/MM/PP proficiency and advanced Excel skills, with 7–10 years in related manufacturing environments. Hybrid collaboration is supported.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in connector manufacturing.
  • Experience in aerospace or electronic precision industries preferred.
  • Expert in material and production planning.
  • Strong SAP SD/MM/PP knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
  • Quality Management System knowledge.
  • IBP awareness is a plus.

Job Description:

Job Overview

The role is to plans and establishes production work schedule to meet delivery times and best utilize company production capacity. Initiate work orders and to ensure that all products are produced to the specified specifications and ensure conformance to schedule. To manage the shift and all direct staff to ensure the smooth running of the production process.

Job Requirements
  • Actively participate in the co-ordination of S&OP process with cross functional team to derive long term demand visibility.
  • Develop effective forecast models based on demand patterns and successfully communicate the same to the production and procurement team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required avoiding disruption to production.
  • To Plan and establish production work schedule to meet delivery times and best utilize company production capacity by releasing work orders.
  • Coordination with production and Logistic staff to ensure timely delivery to customers by obtaining agreement for product ship dates.
  • Assist in maintaining stock rooms and inventory accuracy and participate in physical inventory counts.
  • Demonstrate customer centric approach and adherence to customer expectations to promote a positive company image.
  • Address demand related issues and attend global customer expedition/escalations in an effective manner.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
  • Liaison with customer support team across the globe to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Carryout the inventory coverage and daily monitoring on the finished product to achieve service level.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand and Supply Planning process.
  • Assertive, optimistic, resilient and welcomes change. Proactively contributes to the team keeping end customer in mind.
What your background should look like
  • BE/ B. Tech (Mechanical or Electronics)
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in dealing with manufacturing set up (Connector manufacturing)
  • Aerospace, Electronic precision industries preferred)
  • Expert in material and production planning.
  • Strong knowledge on SAP SD, MM and PP.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Quality Management System knowledge
  • Basic awareness of IBP
