Job summary

Hitachi Energy India Limited in Savli, Gujarat, invites a proactive Material Planning and Procurement professional to join our customer-focused supply chain team. This full-time, on-site role requires coordinating forecast data, production planning, supplier communications, and S&OP activities to ensure on-time deliveries and optimal inventory.

You’ll collaborate with purchasing, production, and logistics to optimize costs, maintain BOM accuracy, review inventory parameters, and drive end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Focal point of material planning and operation planning.
• Understand customer forecasts and prepare yearly, monthly and weekly material procurement & production plans.
• Coordinate with purchasing to communicate with suppliers on material quality, on-time deliveries, and supplier evaluation.
• Monitor delivery dates and on-time delivery performance; proactively manage risks and recovery actions.
• Establish and maintain a material procurement process optimizing total cost, quality and timely delivery from internal/external suppliers.
• Regular review of inventory parameters.
• Analyze inventory reports to identify slow movers, overstocked, and obsolete inventory.
• Review BOM accuracy, planning parameters, material master data, and production order compliance to support efficient planning execution.
• Review long-term forecast and indicate sourcing decisions as needed.
• Drive S&OP and S&OE with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Hitachi's values, safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with purchasing to identify cost-out opportunities related to outside purchased materials.
• Coordinate with Production to prepare day-wise plans and execute.
• Prepare monthly and daily dispatch plans and execute with Customer support team.
• Responsible for executing the end-to-end Material Master Process.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
