Position Overview

The Material Procurement Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies essential for our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a commitment to quality, and alignment with HCP Wellness’s values of integrity, innovation, and sustainability. The Material Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and finance teams to support our mission of delivering exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to source high-quality raw materials (e.g., natural ingredients, packaging, and chemicals) that meet product specifications and regulatory standards for skin care, cosmetics, and oral care manufacturing.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers, ensuring alignment with HCP Wellness’s commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing.
• Cost Optimization: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, forecast material needs, and coordinate with production teams to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured materials comply with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP, or other relevant standards) and meet HCP Wellness’s quality standards.
• Risk Management: Mitigate supply chain risks by diversifying suppliers and developing contingency plans for disruptions.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with R&D, production, and quality teams to align material specifications with product development goals.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Promote eco-friendly procurement practices, such as sourcing recyclable packaging or sustainable raw materials, in line with HCP Wellness’s environmental goals.
• Reporting: Track and report key procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover, to senior management.

Education

Any Bachelor’s degree

Experience

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the cosmetics, skin care, or personal care manufacturing industry.
