Job summary

Modern Signal Services Private Limited is seeking a Material Planner to drive demand and supply planning, ensuring material availability for customers and production. You will work with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Suppliers, and Customer Success to optimize inventory, forecast accuracy, and risk mitigation.

You will review forecasts, manage MRP data, and maintain ERP systems while leading improvements in planning accuracy and service levels across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of material planning, supply planning, demand planning, procurement, or inventory management.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory management, forecasting, procurement, and supply chain operations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel skills and reporting capabilities; Power BI preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end material planning and inventory replenishment activities.
• Review customer demand, forecasts, and inventory levels.
• Generate and maintain material requirements through ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment actions.
• Manage safety stock, reorder points, and planning parameters.
• Coordinate with Procurement teams to expedite material shortages.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
• Support NPI, ECO, and product transitions.
• Analyze forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels.
• Maintain ERP data integrity and planning reports. Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

The Material Planner is responsible for demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and material availability to ensure uninterrupted support for customers and production requirements. This role works closely with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Suppliers, and Customer Success teams to manage inventory, mitigate supply risks, improve forecast accuracy, and drive operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare, medical device, manufacturing, or electronics industry experience.
• APICS/ASCM Certification (CPIM or CSCP).
• Experience with international suppliers, customs, FDA requirements, and logistics operations.
