Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Planning:
- Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production forecasts, service needs, and inventory targets.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and service teams to align material availability with operational needs.
- Buying & Inventory Management:
- Overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum, Oracle and Digital Cockpit expert
- Execute purchase orders for raw materials, components, in line with PSI & Service order requirements.
- Track order status and expedite deliveries to avoid production delays.
- Work on NPI Materials planning based on NPI execution timelines to meet organization goals.
- Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) & minimize obsolete material
- Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
- Review parts availability for rolling 3 months & maintain healthy DOH inventory for production purpose.
- Ensure systemic stock accuracy wrt Physical Part by conducting frequent cycle counts.
- Supplier Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
- Resolve issues related to Logistics, Customs Clearance, delivery discrepancies, quality concerns, and invoice mismatches.
- Systems & Reporting:
- Use ERP systems like Oracle, ASCP to manage planning and procurement activities.
- Generate reports on inventory status, purchase order tracking, and supplier performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in relevant Engineering Streams.
- 2-5 years of experience in materials planning and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or healthcare technology environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization principles is a plus.
- APICS Certification & Green Belt Certification
