Role

The Mastercard Cross Border Services team in Pune is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to drive our Cross Border Network Development team forward through innovation and problem-solving. Our team is responsible for designing and developing new capabilities and frameworks on the Mastercard Cross Border Services Platform (XBS).

As a Software Development Engineer II, you will play a key role in the development and support of the company’s key applications used worldwide. This includes analysis, designing, developing, testing, and managing technical support tasks. You will be responsible for creating software products as per the product backlog. This senior role requires a strong understanding of enterprise application development standards and methodologies, and experience working with custom enterprise frameworks.

As a member of our distributed development team, your communication and analytical skills are essential. Your responsibilities include:

1. Participate in requirements analysis
2. Write clean, scalable code using .NET languages
3. Test and deploy applications and systems
4. Refactor and debug code
5. Develop documentation throughout the SDLC in accordance with Mastercard standards
6. Provide technical support and application expertise
7. Collaborate with Solution Architects on application design
8. Ensure code meets acceptance criteria
9. Follow industry best practices for development
10. Support post-implementation and production environments
11. Design and implement UI and API automation frameworks
12. Create and execute manual and automated tests for APIs and GUIs
13. Address object identity and error handling issues
14. Work with the development team to promote continuous improvement
15. Engage with clients on technical discussions as needed

Skills

Required:

• 3-6 years of experience in software development/maintenance roles
• Proven experience with .NET projects under Agile/Scrum methodology
• ASP.NET 4.0 or higher, C#, ASP.Net MVC
• Angular JS 2.0 or higher, WCF Services, Web API 2.0
• Dependency Injection, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, JSON
• HTML5, version control (GIT, TFS, SVN)
• Java (additional skill)

Preferred:

• Selenium 3.0+, Karate, TestNG, Gradle, AutoIT
• Code reviews, ORM tools (Entity Framework, Dapper), Unit Testing (NUnit, XUnit)
• Experience with open-source technologies (AngularJS, Karma)
• SQL Server (2014+), PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, SSRS reports
• Payment systems experience is an advantage
• Understanding of enterprise frameworks, release procedures, development environments
• Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting skills
