Job description

What you will do

You’ll be working with the Manufacturing Engineering & Industrialisation team.

This team is responsible for translating product designs into scalable, production-ready manufacturing systems. The focus is on building new assembly lines, deploying new technologies, and ensuring seamless coordination across design, automation, supply chain, quality and production teams.

This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and execution excellence — driving line setup projects, process development and cross-functional program delivery.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead manufacturing line setup and industrialisation projects from concept through production ramp-up. You will coordinate across engineering, automation, suppliers and factory teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within cost and with required process capability.

You will also play a key role in capturing learnings from each project and cross-deploying them across future manufacturing programs.

Manufacturing Line Setup & Industrialisation
  • Lead end-to-end execution of manufacturing line setup projects
  • Drive process development and production readiness for new products
  • Coordinate layout planning, equipment selection and process flow design
  • Work with manufacturing engineering teams to define process capability requirements
  • Ensure successful installation, FAT, SAT, commissioning and ramp-up of new production lines
  • Support pilot builds, engineering builds and production validation
Technical Program Management
  • Define project scope, timelines, milestones and resource plans
  • Track progress using structured program management methodologies
  • Identify risks, dependencies and bottlenecks and drive mitigation plans
  • Ensure alignment between product design, automation, supply chain and production readiness
  • Track project KPIs including timeline, cost, yield, throughput and quality metrics
  • Drive structured project reviews, reporting and escalation management
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as the primary interface between Product, Design, Manufacturing, Automation, Quality and Supply Chain teams
  • Coordinate with machine builders, system integrators and supplier partners
  • Ensure technical decisions are aligned with manufacturing scalability and cost targets
  • Drive cross-deployment of best practices, design learnings and process improvements across multiple projects
Process Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Understand and influence manufacturing process development strategies
  • Drive manufacturability reviews (DFM/DFA) with design teams
  • Capture project learnings and develop standardised deployment frameworks
  • Improve line setup efficiency, ramp timelines and process stability
The ideal candidate requires
  • 6–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialisation or technical program management
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing process development and line deployment
  • Experience leading manufacturing line setup, automation deployment or NPI programs
  • Strong exposure to high-precision assembly, automation systems or EV/battery manufacturing (preferred)
  • Mechanical and electrical systems understanding with ability to engage in technical decision-making
  • Experience working with system integrators, machine builders and equipment vendors
  • Strong knowledge of program management methodologies and project tracking tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and execution-oriented mindset
What matters
  • High ownership of work.
  • Quality of work
  • Approach towards problem-solving
  • Dissatisfaction towards mediocre work
  • Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing
  • Ideal experience range of 4 to 8 years of relevant experience
