Role Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for OEM products, ensuring high‑quality production, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement manufacturing processes for electronics, bearing assemblies, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Optimize workflows for mechanical assembly metal forming operations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/AS standards and OEM specifications.
- Develop fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, and finishing for sheet metal components.
- Select appropriate materials and ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling for efficient fabrication and assembly.
- Install and maintain specialized equipment for electronics assembly, bearing integration, and metal fabrication (press brakes, CNC machines, welding stations).
- Utilize Vericut software and collaborate with vendors for advanced tooling and automation solutions.
- Define and monitor quality parameters for electronic, mechanical, and sheet metal components.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for defects in assembly and fabrication.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives across assembly and fabrication lines.
- Implement Industry 4.0 practices for smart manufacturing and predictive maintenance.
- Prepare SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation for assembly and fabrication processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with design, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability of electronic and sheet metal components.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and prototype builds.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 10–15 years in manufacturing engineering for precision electronics, mechanical assemblies, and sheet metal fabrication.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM, CNC programming, PLC systems, and automation.
