Description

As a Manufacturing Automation Engineer, the candidate will work for BCP Manufacturing Engineering team at Tiruvallur, Chennai. The incumbent will be responsible for manufacturing Automation & Digital process planning and execution, Robotic application design and development, continuous improvements, process and quality control, new product design. The candidate should have the ability to lead continuous improvement and new product introduction projects.

The roles and responsibilities of a Manufacturing Automation Engineer include, but are not limited to the following –

Manufacturing Technical Skill: -

• Lead and execute an Automation design solution for Specific product assembly process considering all global standards
• Integrate robotic systems into existing manufacturing processes for enhancing Safety, Productivity and Quality
• Industrial networking and communication protocols for seamless data exchange between devices and systems
• Safety standards and regulations for ensuring automated systems operate without risk to personnel or equipment
• PLC, SCADA and Robotic Programming knowledge
• Design and develop Digital Architecture for live dashboards and process application
• Capable to design and develop assembly fixtures and jigs integrating Automation

- Create, execute and prove out the Layout, Process planning, Multi model Line balancing for NPI’s by satisfying the safety & ergonomic standards

• Risk analysis & feasibility study for engineering design
• undefinedProject Management skills: -Lead the projects with responsibility of overall program management and coordination at different phases of the program.Leads improvement projects to identify creative and innovative Lean techniques through adequate root cause analysis to address operational issues including ergonomic/safety risks, quality concerns, efficiency and cost savings improvements, and process bottlenecks.Provides training, development, and motivation for a staff capable of completing objectives and implementing cost reduction projects and meeting requirements of the manufacturing/assembly process Manufacturing Process: -Develop the Process planning documents (PFD, SFMEA, PFMEA, CP) and execute the best-in-class solutions to achieve the Lean Manufacturing.Identify the suppliers for equipment’s & applications, Also Coordinates the installation of new machines, equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts.Capability to design engineering to manufacturing technical data feasibility study with historical base for achieving customer or end user requirements.Continuous Improvement & Planning: -Ability to identify issues and develop innovative solutions with respect to automationIdentify, plan and deploy new strategic assembly process and Robots to enhance safety and process efficiency.Coordinates the current product improvements through Engineering change process management.Lead Automation projects related to standard hour reduction and improving process efficiency.Coordinates with Cross functional team for conducting the process audits and driving improvements to enhance process and product quality.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.Relocation is available for this position.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
