Qualifications

• Candidates should have hands-on experience with manual testing across desktop and web applications.
• Ability to design comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and test cases from user stories.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and Windows security principles is preferred.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (RTC JAZZ, RTC QM, JIRA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and documentation to ensure full test coverage.
• Estimate testing efforts and author detailed test plans and cases.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and non-functional testing for desktop and web apps.
• Identify, document, and track defects using RTC JAZZ and JIRA.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer

A passionate quality professional who can ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing software solutions through comprehensive testing, collaboration, and continuous improvement practices.

You’ll Make a Difference By

• Analyzing requirements, specifications, user documentation, and other project artifacts to ensure complete test coverage.
• Estimating testing efforts and designing comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and user stories.
• Executing functional, regression, integration, system, and non-functional/performance testing for desktop and web applications.
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using defect management tools such as RTC JAZZ and JIRA.
• Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and successful product delivery.
• Validating software quality through structured verification and validation techniques.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, testing effectiveness, and team productivity.
• Supporting Agile development processes by actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and quality-related discussions.

• Holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrating strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, including software verification and validation techniques.
• Possessing a solid understanding of networking concepts, network protocols, and Windows security principles.
• Having experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Being proficient with test management, defect tracking, and quality management tools such as RTC JAZZ, RTC QM, and JIRA.
• Having exposure to performance monitoring and measurement tools.
• Demonstrating working knowledge of database management systems such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Showing strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, isolate, and resolve software issues effectively.
• Communicating clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintaining exceptional attention to detail to ensure thorough test coverage and accurate results.
• Being a quick learner with the ability to rapidly build domain expertise and develop competency on the system under test.
