Steady Rabbit in India is seeking a seasoned Manual QA Tester with 6+ years of QA experience, specializing in policy administration applications such as Guidewire PolicyCenter and Portals. The role focuses on Guidewire Rating calculations and validations to ensure high-quality software solutions for the client.

The ideal candidate will have strong testing across UI, services, batch integrations, and testing of rating domain, with VBScript, XML, SQL skills, and experience with automation tools

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a QA tester in insurance domain.
• Hands-on testing in Guidewire PolicyCenter and Portals.
• Experience with UI, web services, batch-based integrations, and web portals.
• Proficiency in VBScript, XML, SQL or related languages.
• Experience with rating calculations and validations.

Responsabilités

• Review and analyze system specifications to extract test requirements and write detailed test cases and scripts.
• Develop, document, and maintain a repository of functional test cases and supporting artifacts, including test data, data validation procedures, and automated scripts.
• Work with QA engineers to build comprehensive test plans.
• Execute manual and automated test cases accurately and report the results systematically.
• Identify, document, and communicate bugs and errors to development teams on time.
• Maintain logs for each testing phase (functional, end-to-end, and regression) and track defects.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to uphold quality across the software development lifecycle.

Technical qualifications:

Must have:

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Quality Assurance tester.
• Proficiency in QA methodology, with hands-on testing experience in the insurance industry.
• Specific QA experience with Guidewire solutions across the P&C policy lifecycle.
• Experience in Rating.
• Proven experience testing UI, web services, batch-based integrations, and web portals.
• Proficiency in VBScript, XML, SQL, or related languages.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as HP QTP or Selenium.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Microsoft TFS and Microsoft Test Manager (MTM).
