Job summary

Capgemini in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a QA engineer to enhance our software development lifecycle. The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans, scenarios and cases based on acceptance criteria.

You will perform API testing using Postman or Insomnia, automate tests across modules, and write basic SQL queries for data verification. Collaboration with developers, product owners and Scrum/Agile teams is essential to ensure quality coverage.

Qualifications

Your Role

• Seeking expertise in quality assurance engineering to enhance our software development lifecycle.
• Our project requires the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and cases based on acceptance criteria.
• We need proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or Insomnia to ensure functionality, reliability, and integration.
• Automationtesting across various modules, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing, is a key component of this project.
• Additionally, the ability to write basic SQL queries for data verification and backend validations is required. Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft 365 Copilot for test case generation and documentation will be beneficial. Collaboration with developers, product owners, and Scrum/Agile teams is crucial to ensure quality coverage.
• We also expect documentation, tracking, and retesting of defects to closure, along with participation in SAFe ceremonies.

Your profile

Has more than a year of relevant work experience. Solid understanding of programming concepts, software design and software development principles. Consistently works to direction with minimal supervision, producing accurate and reliable results. Individuals are expected to be able to work on a range of tasks and problems, demonstrating their ability to apply their skills and knowledge. Organises own time to deliver against tasks set by others with a mid term horizon. Works co-operatively with others to achieve team goals and has a direct and positive impact on project performance and make decisions based on their understanding of the situation, not just the rules.
