Job summary

Park Controls & Communications seeks an experienced Manager Verification & Validation to lead V&V for airborne safety-critical electronic systems. You will plan and oversee verification activities, ensure DO-254 compliance, and coordinate with CEMILAC and other authorities.

The role includes technical leadership, team management, and ensuring traceability across requirements, design, and verification artifacts in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) or equivalent.
• Around 10 years of hardware verification & Validation experience with DO-254 exposure.
• Experience in leading or managing V&V teams in aerospace/defense certification environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end V&V activities for FPGA-based and electronic hardware systems.
• Define verification strategies, methodologies, and plans aligned with project and certification requirements.
• Oversee RTL simulation, linting, and advanced verification techniques; ensure traceability from requirements to artifacts.
• Interface with certification authorities such as CEMILAC; support audits and reviews.
• Mentor and manage a team of V&V engineers; plan schedules and allocate resources across programs.

We are seeking an experienced Manager Verification & Validation (V&V) to lead V&V activities for airborne safety-critical electronic systems. The role focuses on planning, execution, and compliance of verification processes in line with DO-254 and certification requirements governed by CEMILAC.

The candidate will be responsible for driving structured V&V processes, ensuring traceability, managing teams, and interfacing with certification authorities, while working closely with design, system, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end Verification & Validation (V&V) activities for FPGA-based and electronic hardware systems.
• Define verification strategies, methodologies, and plans aligned with project and certification requirements.
• Oversee execution of static and dynamic verification using industry-standard tools (Questa Lint, Questa Inspect, Questa Prime etc.).
• Ensure comprehensive coverage through simulation, analysis, and testing approaches.

2. Compliance & Certification

• Ensure adherence to DO-254 V&V processes and guidelines.
• Drive preparation and review of V&V lifecycle data including test plans, procedures, cases, reports, and compliance matrices.
• Maintain complete traceability between requirements, design, and verification artifacts.
• Interface with certification authorities such as CEMILAC and support audits and reviews.

3. Project & Team Management

• Manage and mentor a team of V&V engineers.
• Plan schedules, allocate resources, and track progress across multiple programs.
• Identify risks in verification activities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate closely with design, system engineering, QA, and program management teams.

4. Verification Oversight

• Review and approve verification plans, test cases, procedures, and reports.
• Ensure effective execution of RTL simulation, linting, and advanced verification techniques.
• Guide debugging and root cause analysis of design and system-level issues.
• Oversee validation activities ensuring readiness for certification reviews.

5. Documentation & Quality

• Ensure development of complete and compliant V&V documentation aligned with aerospace standards.
• Participate in and lead lifecycle reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to configuration management and version control practices.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in VHDL, RTL simulation, and digital design verification.
• Hands-on experience with verification tools such as Questa Lint, Questa Inspect, and Questa Prime.
• Good understanding of verification methodologies and coverage analysis.
• Experience in requirement traceability and compliance-driven development.

Domain Knowledge

• Working knowledge of DO-254 V&V lifecycle.
• Familiarity with certification workflows involving CEMILAC, FAA, or EASA.
• Experience in safety-critical and regulated environments.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) or equivalent.

Experience:

• Around 10 years of relevant experience in hardware verification & Validation, with strong exposure to DO-254 compliance.
• Prior experience in technical leadership or team management roles preferred.
• Experience in aerospace/defence certification environments is highly desirable.

Additional / Preferred Skills

• Experience with requirement management tools such as IBM DOORS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, Python, Perl) for automation.
• Familiarity with PLM/ALM tools for lifecycle and configuration management.
• Exposure to robustness testing, FMEA, and reliability analysis techniques.
• Postgraduate qualification or certification in VLSI Design is an advantage.
