Job summary

Blackbaud India is seeking a Manager, User Experience to lead a team of designers and researchers who craft experiences for purpose-driven organizations. You will partner with Product and Engineering to align customer needs with business objectives and drive measurable outcomes.

You’ll champion human-centered design, usability testing, accessibility, and evidence-based decisions across the product lifecycle, guiding discovery and solution development with AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in UX including research, interaction design and product design.
• 5+ years leading and developing UX professionals.
• Strong human-centered design, accessibility, and usability testing experience.
• Experience partnering with product, engineering and business teams.
• Familiarity with SaaS, design systems, and AI-enabled experiences.

We’re looking for a collaborative, customer-focused, and strategic Manager, User Experience to lead a team of talented design and research professionals who create experiences that help purpose-driven organizations achieve more. This role blends people leadership, product partnership, and design excellence to ensure customer needs are understood, prioritized, and reflected throughout the product development lifecycle.

You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to shape experiences that are valuable, usable, accessible, and cohesive while helping Blackbaud expand what’s possible for the social impact community. This is an opportunity to lead high-performing teams, influence product strategy, and drive measurable outcomes that improve both customer satisfaction and business results.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of user experience designers and researchers through coaching, feedback, talent development, and clear career growth planning.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define product strategy, customer outcomes, and experience priorities that align customer needs with business objectives.
• Champion human-centered design by promoting customer research, usability testing, accessibility, and evidence-based decision making throughout the product development process.
• Guide teams through discovery, concept validation, and solution development, including the thoughtful use of AI-enabled capabilities that solve validated customer problems and improve outcomes.
• Improve experience quality and operational excellence by driving adoption of design systems, shared practices, and scalable ways of working across teams.
• Establish meaningful experience metrics, monitor customer feedback and product health indicators, and demonstrate the business impact of user experience investments through measurable results.

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of user experience experience spanning customer research, interaction design, and product design, with 5+ years leading and developing user experience professionals.
• Knowledge of human-centered design methodologies and customer research practices, including usability testing, validation techniques, and accessibility principles.
• Understanding of product development processes and experience strategy, with the ability to connect customer insights to product direction and business outcomes.
• Experience partnering within cross-functional product, engineering, and business teams while influencing stakeholders and facilitating strategic decision-making.
• Experience with software-as-a-service products, modern design systems, AI-enabled experiences, user experience metrics, and Agile product development environments.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery, improve quality, increase team effectiveness, and continuously explore emerging capabilities that enhance customer experiences.
